These companies have been adopting various
strategies such as new product launches, joint ventures, acquisitions, collaborations,
and others in order to grow and strengthen their foothold in this market. In
November 2015, Microdyn Nadir launched R-AQUADYN, a compact rack solution-based
on the double asymmetric, hydrophilic low fouling PAN hollow fiber membrane.
In March 2015, Evoqua Water Technologies
announced to double its production capacity for its leading range of water
treatment products at one of its key production facilities in the U.S. to meet
the increasing global demand for its products and services. The new Evoqua
Tewksbury facility will manufacture a range of water treatment products
including Evoqua’s Ionpure continuous electrodeionization (CEDI) modules; its
new electrochemical desalination technology; and Capac impressed current
cathodic protection anodes.
In July, 2015, Ovivo has successfully
completed the UPW expansion project at the SUNY Poly CNSE Albany NanoTech
Complex. The USD 20 billion SUNY Poly CNSE Albany NanoTech Complex, located in
Albany, New York, is a home to the world's first global 450mm Consortium, a
450mm wafer, and equipment development program.
In February 2015, Veolia Water Technologies
Launched the Next Generation in Purified Water Technology, available in three
models with an expanded range of flow rates from 0.5 to 20mÂł/hr. The Orion is
an evolution in modular water treatment. It comes with a number of
sustainability features including low energy Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes,
integral recovery RO, and concentrate recycle.
In December 2014, Evoqua Water Technologies
introduced its proven, energy, and space efficient Vantage M41 RO (reverse
osmosis) system for industrial applications to Asia. The Vantage M41 RO system
is suitable for the production of process ingredient water, rinse water, food
ingredient water, safe drinking water, boiler feed water, ion exchange
pretreatment, RO reject reclaim, wastewater recycling, and more uses.
In August 2014, Ovivo Awarded two major
Contracts worth over USD 12.7 million in the electronics and energy markets in
Asia-Pacific. The first contract is for the supply of a high pressure
condensate polishing water system for a new large power plant in Southeast
Asia. The second contract is to provide state of the art process water supply
and waste water treatment plant for a new printed circuit production line of a
world-leading Printed Circuit Board manufacturer in China.
